I'm being very passionate tonight:)
While pinching my pimple in front of the mirror hanging in my room,(Those who knew me knows I do this quite often Ha-ha :P)
I was thinking of todays outing with my bestfriend Jasmine.
I enjoyed it a lot :) Although it was just two of us,
I picked up my bestie from her home around 10.30am and we reached the library around 11am and stayed there to chit chat while practicing our japanese words till 1.30pm,
Later,we headed to the 7th bridge restaurant house on top of sea to have lunch--sweet and sour chicken chip and garlic wok fried yau mak.
Yum :) It was a comfortable afternoon, as the sun was bright and we ate while looking at the view of the sea,
And we talked about food ,
It was such a tourist-y moment HAHA.
Boy,I missed these kinds of outings so much,
How Jasmine and I use to meet up at the local library during secondary school holidays to read books and do our bible homework for girls brigade,
But most of the time we did more bonding than our work :D Nyehehe,
Both of us would pick the spot where the view overlooks the sea,
And we could easily spot a few boats in scattered positions on the surface of the sea.
Once in a while, in the mid of chatting or doing work,
we would stop, and look at the sea dreamily, and later praise how awesome the view has always been, both of us felt so lucky to stay in a town which has a library overlooking the sea.
I love the town library,it always reminds me of really good memories I had there,
Hung out there twice during Primary school with Ah ying,Nurul and jacinta during primary five and six,
Where we were still rowdy kids,
running here and there, talking softly and laughing out loudly,
Bounce on the springy sofas, laugh at illustrations in the books,
Annoying the security guard, annoying the dogs at the walkway basement (quite surprised to find them tie to a corner)
What good days:)
And secondary school, with Alyssa several times,
I remembered baking scones and making jellies and brought it there for her and told her that we should have picnic at the grassland area of the library.
Im such as picnic person, I don't know why, reason->might too much of Enid Blyton reading poison,
I still love picnics, I suggest it to basically everyone I'm close with,
I just did that last month haha during jogging, so happy :)
Ah...still remember going to the library for newspaper reading and essay competition during bulan membaca LOL.
And got mysef back an orange bag that has the library logo and quote:" Bangsa membaca, Bangsa berjaya"
believe it or not,
Mum and I are still using it .Hahas. so Nerdy. pfft. I dont care. Ish.
It makes me happy cos the staff recognises the library bag and they'll be grinning at us whenever they see it..haha!
I still remembered the moment I got that bag a prize for a competition, how much had I complaint the ugliness of the bag to my mum,
I even told mum the library is stingy to give such an ugly bag,
they could have gave something better or snacks that could be eaten and digested.LOL.
Orange color summore, remind me of mandarin that we eat during chinese new year, and the color of the logo so cacat, pfft,
However, leave my complaints aside as its so durable!
We have been using it for the 6th year,
And the bag is still able to withhold all (max 8) books we borrowed each time.
Anyways, I love jasmine.. And I'm sad that she is going off overseas very soon..a different route which is very much further than our previous stages.
When would be our next meet, during your marriage? or my marriage? or when one of us have babies.. lol.Its so difficult to determine a precise date.
So far apart, and meetings barriers caused by future plans.
( Young adult angst brewingg out)
But,
I'm glad that we had been bestfriends for such a long period of time(A total of 8yrs) and this afternoon, while shoulders locking with each other, she made me realise we were almost perfect bestfriends,no quarrels no squabbles, no drama throughout the years.
And so much common interest.
So much love, care and clicks.
Like a rare gem that comes across only by fate.
Life changes again. And we grow up, gonna miss her,am glad she had always been in many chapters of my life. Thank you kaka =)
